If I Could Ask Swami…

The children at the Flushing Center SSE class were asked to respond to the following question:  If you should happen to see or speak with Swami, what would you say to Him? These are their responses:

Divya (SSE I)

Please Swami, give all people goods, family, and love.

Bhavani Ananthabhotla (SSE I)

I would ask Baba to make sad people happy.

Ramneik  (SSE I)

I already went to see God. But I would not ask Him anything because I want Him to ask me a question. Then I would answer His question, but I will still not ask Him a question.

Saipriya Iyer (SSE I)

I want Baba to come to my house. I want all my cousins and my friends to come to the US. I want to study in Swami’s school.

Deepa Ganesh (SSE II)

Please, Swami, help the people who are handicapped.

Ishwarya Ananthabhotla (SSE II)

If I were to speak to Swami, I would ask Him to wave His hand in the air and rebuild the World Trade Center and give life to all the people who died in it. I would also ask him if I could join in Swami’s school and see Swami very often

Sriram Garikapali (SSE II)

If Swami appeared in front of me I would say that I want a happy life like I’m having right now. I will ask Him to help me be very good in studies. I want to visit my cousins and other places for every single vacation. I would say that I want to be good. I would want to read big chapter books which I’m starting. If He appeared in front of me I would tell Him all my wishes and call my parents to look at Him. We would ask Him to stay for dinner. I will tell Him that he could come anytime; He is invited. We could take Him wherever we go. I would sing for Him.

Arjun Khanna (SSE II)

If I saw Bhagavan Baba I would ask…

1. Do You ever feel superior?

2. Is it cool knowing the future and what is going to happen next?

3. If you want the world to be perfect, why is it not?

4. Why is there so much evil and hate when You are there?

5. Am I going up a step to God or down a step?

6. Why do people at my school make fun of You?

7. Why do some people hate You?

8. Why do sometimes I feel there is no God?

9. Is Cher really a Sai devotee?

10. Why does it vary on how fortunate You make people?

11. Can’t You try to stop wars?

12. Jaya Aunty said that you brought down the weapon of love. Is love a weapon?

13. Is happiness a weapon?

14. Aren’t weapons like guns and bombs?

15. Why did You let people invent drugs?

Gajan Khanna (SSE II)

If I was to meet Bhagavan Baba, I would ask Him: How does He make everything so perfect? His work is so perfect that watermelons don’t grow on trees because they are too heavy. My babysitter’s son was on an island and a coconut fell on his head—why do they grow on trees? Baba, why do You make movie stars, singers, actors, and actresses devoted to You? They are not Hindu; they are from a different culture. Once Rajiv told me that Cher is a Sai devotee and she is my favorite singer. I also would like to know why the terrorists bombed the World Trade Center. America did not harm them. I was really surprised to hear about the attack and want to know the reason. Did they want to do it or were they forced to? Baba, one last thing. Where were you on September 11, 2001? What were you doing? Why didn’t you stop it? A lot of people were sad and are still sad.
