Small Teachings
“All men of all countries form one caste. Keep this truth firmly in your heart. You must recognize that the birth as a human being is a rare occurrence. Consider time as valuable. Heart must be soft and the mind must be sweet. Do not poison your nectarine mind by directing it on the external objects. By doing so, you are making the soft heart into hard stone. Do not waste time. Time is the very form of God. Therefore, firmly believe that time is divine. Do not put firm faith on your body. The body is impermanent. It grows with time and declines with time.”
Divine Discourse, 01-01-2000
“Studying to get a degree, getting a job, running a family—all these are worldly activities, emanating from the head. What is it that a learned person should bring out? He should manifest the qualities of compassion, love, forbearance, peace, kindness, which come from the heart. But today there is no compassion, there is only fashion. It is very important to have compassion.”
Sanathana Sarathi, January 2000
