Baba Provides
Posted January 1, 1995
Recently, Swami gave me an opportunity to coordinate a project on EHV (Education in Human Values). We were trying to link students from my school in Washington Heights where I teach, with students from Dr. Ronnie Marantz’ school, in Woodstock, NY. I was very concerned about it.
On November 15, we had to bus 155 of my students to Woodstock School, where they would meet their school partner that they had been writing to. The trip was two weeks away and my concern was that it was not clear where the money to rent four buses was going to come from. As usual, I was taking the challenge on as my own personal one.
I went to the Bhajan on Thursday filled with this anxious energy. I felt Baba would provide, but I did not know how or when. I was sitting in the Bhajan Hall absorbing the beautiful vibrations when I felt compelled to write Baba a letter. No sooner did I write “Dear Swami” than my hand crossed out Swami’s name and wrote my own! It now read, “Dear Dee.” I wasn’t sure why I did that. I wanted Swami to talk to me – and He did! He wrote me a letter. As I felt his voice being channeled through my consciousness, I took notes. This is what Swami said to me and, perhaps, He is saying to all of us.
Relax.
I give you gifts.
You have genuine heart for service.
I will provide.
Don’t worry.
I have all planned.
I will take care of fear.
You very anxious.
Trust Baba.
I will make way for my way to be done.
Buses, buses, buses.
What are buses?
Buses go from one place to another.
They carry many people.
Baba is bus.
Baba will carry burdens of devotees.
Put worries on Baba bus.
Baba drive, Baba bus.
(In the end, as always, Baba showered His grace. Buses were provided and the trip was a great success.)
